Purpose of data collection, processing and utilisation:
The companies of the MARTENS & PRAHL Group are brokers for insurance, pension and similar contracts. The primary purpose of the processing of the data is thus consultation, comparison and brokerage of insurances. Secondary purposes of the processing of data is rendering services to clients, trade representatives and prospective clients, as well as the management of personnel matters and the payment of internal and external employees and business partners.
To this end, personal data are collected, processed and used about the following groups of persons:
- Clients (addresses, contract data, if necessary for contract processing, control data and if necessary other data required for properly dealing with business relations.)
- Business partners (mainly address, payment and service data)
- Personnel data for employee and external staff management
- Suppliers (address and function data) and
- Contact persons to the above groups, even if these are legal persons (contact coordinates and support information)
Recipients or categories of recipients to whim the data may be passed on:
- internal units that are involved in dealing with the business processes in question (personnel administration, accounts, marketing, sales, telecommunication and IT)
- external units that are involved in business processes (partners as part of the business processes mentioned in point 4)
- external contractors in accordance with § 11 Federal Protection Act (BDSG)
- credit institutions (salary payments, payments as part of the above business processes)
- public authorities that exclusively (!) receive employee data based on legal reasons (e.g. social insurance carriers, financial authorities)
- insurance companies involved in company pension schemes (employee data)
Passing on data to third countries is not planned.
The data are deleted upon expiry of the legal period of data retention, as amended from time to time. Data that are not subject to the data retention period will be deleted once they are no longer needed.
